Shaklee Handwash Concentrate

Every year when cold or flu season rolls around, health care officials tell us the exact same thing: be sure to wash your hands often. Proper hand washing means a full lather with scrubbing for about twenty seconds, or as long as it takes you to sing the "Happy Birthday" song twice. You should always wash your hands before preparing or eating food, after handling garbage, going to the bathroom, being around somebody is sick, handling an animal, changing a diaper, blowing your nose, and so on.
Ready to swear allegiance to hand washing? Be sure you wash your hands with Shaklee's Hand Wash Concentrate. This is more than a trip to the sink to clean your hands, this is a spa visit! Hand Wash Concentrate contains aloe, marshmallow, wheat germ oil, algae extracts, linden flower, rosemary and arnica to condition, moisturize, sooth and energize your hands. Your skin will feel soft and smooth, and you'll be mentally refreshed from the lovely scent.

As with all Shaklee products, the environmental benefits are obvious. When you order concentrated products, you are committed to less packaging waste and less fuel to ship the product. Refilling your Shaklee soap dispenser will be an occasional reminder of just how great it is to be involved with a company who has both your and the world's best interests in mind when they design their products.

Domestic Detox: Cleaning to Extremes

An interesting article published on The New York Times this past Thursday May 27 2010, mentioned the potential health hazards like mold, indoor air pollution, household chemicals and electromagnetic radiation. The article mentioned something really new to some people such as a whole home detox and something came back to my mind, something like “Get Clean from Shaklee has been talking about it for the past few years now” Our products are created by nature, harness by science and proven by millions.

For the past 50 years, Shaklee products have been providing non-toxic cleaning products safe for you, your home and the planet. Based on this, I can say that it’s not a surprise to see articles like this one because we’ve been listening from our scientist, Shaklee articles, our members and our distributors that our products are environmentally safe-cleaning products, people call us and tell us that our products are not only powerful but also gentle on the environment.Every time I have a Shaklee presentation people keep tell me “Are those the products featured on Oprah last year?” and I put my nicest smile and proudly reply “Yes they are” because people are getting more environmentally cautious and “going green” is today’s fashion.

The article also mentions and I quote: “Municipal water supplies like New York’s are typically treated with chlorine and fluoride, which are possible carcinogens and show trace amounts of arsenic and other metals” It doesn’t surprise me either. Shaklee thought about it too, to sell products that improve our health by the vitamins we take, the water we drink and the air we breathe.

Household Cleaners and Childhood Asthma, Is there a link?

They studied 3,500 adults and found that those who used household cleaning sprays, air fresheners, furniture cleaners and glass cleaners, had a 30-50% higher risk of asthma than those who seldom or never used spray cleaners.

The incidence of doctor-diagnosed asthma was highest in those who used the cleaning sprays at least four times a week. The cause of the increased asthma risk is not known, but the scientists who conducted the study hypothesized that it was some irritant in the propellants used in the sprays because the cleaners themselves only increased the risk of asthma by 10-15%The scary part is that the incidence of asthma in children has increased dramatically over the past 15 to 20 years. The scientific community has been at loss to explain the causes behind this increase.

Children are usually much more sensitive to household cleaning products than adults.Household cleaning sprays are convenient and inexpensive. Most people are completely unaware of the negative effects that they can have on bopth the environment and on their health, so household cleaning sprays have become almost ubiquitous in American households.Use safe, healthy products for your family, Shaklee Get Clean products are the perfect option. Shaklee company is real “Green” with no hidden agenda here, just good things for you and the planet.
